Happy 6th Birthday!

On this day 6 years ago you were born. Only after what seemed like a long 37 weeks. You tried to come early two days in a row but I was able to keep you in for 5 more weeks. After all day of being in labor and 3 hours of pushing we welcomed you into this world. You were so perfect, well except for your extremely cone-shaped head. You tried to stop breathing on us shortly after you were born but with a little extra help you showed us you were a fighter! You have kept us all busy since the day you were born. If only we knew what you were always thinking and feeling! You have come so far in these short 6 years. You have overcome so many hurdles that were placed in front of you. You are learning more than they ever said you would. You are so friendly and outgoing, the opposite of what they say a child with Aspergers should be. I love you with all my heart, even on the days when you are stubborn and naughty. I hope that you continue to grow and do well. You are an amazing boy my lil Jayder Ayder and I love you! Happy 6th Birthday!

About to be put on the NAUGHTY list!

I need to do some serious venting! Jayden is about to send me to the nut house, and I am not joking! He has been having some awful behaviors and appears to be regressing! We tried switching his meds to see if that would help but it hasnt! His teachers say that he is teasing the kids at school, hitting, screaming for attention and has returned to biting on his clothes which I thought we had gotten rid of! At home he is peeing in his pants almost on a daily basis because he is too buisy to go to the bathroom. He is yelling at me, talking back, and throwing a fit when I try to make him clean up his messes! He keeps spilling water all over the place. A few weeks ago when we were decoarting gingerbread houses he had gotten some mini m&m containers and filled them with candy, water, and dirt. Then he spilled one in my moms living room. After cleaning the mess up I threw all of comtainers away, or so I thought. We got home and he asked me to carry a toy in for him. I picked it up and as I got out of the car the dang thing opened up and sand and water flew all over my dashboard! I had just cleaned my car 2 days before and I was not happy. He keeps putting water in all kinds of containers and spills it all over when I am not looking! I dont know what to do anymore. I am sick and tired of dealing with this. At this point I am not sure we will survive Christmas, and especially Christmas break!

Temple Square

Last night my friend invited us to go up to Temple Square and see the lights. We rode trax and got off a station too soon and had to walk a little ways. We saw a homeless person sitting in a door way. It was around 15 degrees outside! It broke my heart but made me extremily thankful for all that I have. We were able to get warm in the Joseoh Smith Memorial Building before walking around to look at the lights. The building looked beautiful and the temple and lights were AMAZING!!! It was so cold I thought my face was going to freeze and fall off! It was obvious it was mutual night because the place was littered with annoying teenagers!!!!! All in all it was a fun little trip!

Yes that is a penny in his mouth, I didnt even realise it last night!

My friends Liz and Stephanie, all bundled up on Trax.

Santa

As busy as Santa is he was able to make an appearance at our Brooks(dads side) Family Christmas Party. He handed out bags of candy and oranges to all the kids.

Gingerbread houses

Last Saturday after our Brooks family Christmas party we all got together and decorated Gingerbread houses at my mom and dads. It was so fun. We hadnt decorated them since we were little. Kaylee and Jayden had a little to much candy and it showed! Jayden decorated a house but he later destroyed before I could get a picture. I wish I could have gotten a picture of us decorating them but my batteries went dead and my moms camera wouldnt work, thats ok we can at least show the finished houses!

What have I done?

The other night I decided it would be a good idea to teach Jayden how to call my parents house from my cell phone. They are on speed dial so I figured it would be pretty easy for him. I explained to him that if I was ever sick or if he couldnt wake me up or if we had an emergency that he needed to push these certain buttons. It was to late that night to let him try calling her so I said we would try the next morning. Well I completely forgot about it after that. Today when I got home from church I saw that my mom had called and called her back. She asked if everything was ok and if I knew that Jayden had called her earlier. I had worked the night before and tried to get some sleep from 7:30 to 11:30. Well its hard to get into a deep sleep when you have a 5 year sitting in the bed next to playing and watching tv. Apparently I had fell asleep from about 10:30 to 11:30 and Jayden decided he was sick of sitting and watching me try and sleep. He called Grandma and asked her to come get him because his mommy wouldnt wake up. Well of course he got my mom all worried. She asked him some questions and then figured out everything was ok. I cant believe that he called her. Now this wouldnt be such a big deal but Jayden does not talk on the phone, EVER! So now I am just glad that I didnt teach him to call 911!!!

Halloween '09

We went to the Halloween Carnival at Heritage Care Center after carving our pumpkin. They had lots of games and Jayden got to decorate a sugar cookie! It was super super fun, as Jayden would say!

On Thursday we carved our little pumpkin that Jayden picked out. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Crappy month!

I can't believe how fast this last month has flown by! On September 30th I had surgery to fix my bladder. I was having some trouble, like most women who have kids. Its kind of hard when you tell your child thats its not ok to pee in his pants when you yourself cant keep full control of your bladder. I decided that enough was enough and a 27 year old shouldnt be having to dea with this problem! Let me just warn anyone who is considering this surgery, it is very, very similar to having a baby minus all the pushing! The recovery is very similar. I think so far that the surgery has been a success. Two weeks after surgery I became very sick and I was sure that all the coughing was going to mess everything up but it didnt(as far as I know)! I am almost certain that I had the swine flu. I lost my health insurance the day after surgery and wasnt able to go to the doctor. I fevered on and off for 5 days, had a cough, a runny nose, body aches, nausea, and a very sore throat. I lost 10 pounds in a week. It was the sickest I have been in a long time! Now 2 weeks later I am feeling much better. My voice is slowly coming back after leaving me for the past week. Because of all of this we havent done hardly anything fun this month. We will have to make up for it next month I guess. I start working full time next week which will bring in some much needed cash and hopefully lots of fun things to do!

Thanks

As some of you may know, I had bladder surgery yesterday. I just wanted to take a minute to say "THANKS" to my family, especially my Mom. She helped me out with Jayden yesterday as well as today. Everyone has helped out wth him but she hasnt complained once even though she is working full time and dealing with Tiff and the boys living at her house. I am so glad to have a Mom like her. Aleena has also been a huge help as well, spending the night with us and getting Jayd ready for bed last night and school this morning. I have the best family ever! Thanks for all your help!!! I truely appreciate it and couldnt ask for a better family!!! Love you guys!

Utah State Fair

Last night we went to the Utah State Fair with my family. It was fun, but boy do my feet hurt today! All the boys but Jayden rode the ponies. He wouldnt even go on them with Grandpa standing right next to him. I was really disappointed, mostly because I wanted pics to do a cute scrapbook page. I know I am so selfish sometimes. It was funny because later all the boys went on this fantasy flight simulator. I dont know exactly what its called. Jayden got off it and said, "that was really scary". Trevor decided he wanted to go on it again and Jayden begged to go to. This time they did the El Diablo simulation, which is supposed to be the scariest! We could hear Jayden screaming the whole time. When he got off he again said, " that was soooooo scary" but after that he said, "Mom, I want to come here every day and go on that". I couldnt believe that he was to scared to ride the ponies but loved the simulator! He surprises me sometimes. He wouldnt even stand by the cows or the goats long enough for me to get a picture. But thats ok we still had fun!

Jayden & Jerick loved holding Grandpas hand. It was so cute!

OH NO! Jayden turned into a goat!

Just a few random things from today!

We have been saving cans for Jayden to earn some money for our trip to Disneyland(Which is not booked yet). I want him to have his own money to buy souveniers with. We didnt have a lot of cans but I was SSSSOOOOOOOO tired of looking at them so we stopped and dropped them off and Jayden was able to collect $2.00! He was way excited! I asked him what he wanted to do with the money and he wouldnt tell me. Then when we were in the Disney store he picked out a glitter ball and told me he wanted it. I told him that he had that $2.00 and so if he wanted it he could buy it that money. He said, "Nevermind" and then put the ball back! It was pretty funny!

Today we went to the mall and he was playing in front of the mirrors in one of the stores. He yelled, "Look theres two Jaydens over there", then a couple of seconds later he turned and said, "Look theres three Jaydens over here" and laughed and laughed. It was super cute and funny.

Jayden loves to ride his bike. He could spend all day riding around our apartments.

Flaming Gorge

Over Labor Day Weekend we took our annual trip to Flaming Gorge! It was rainy on and off a couple of days but that didnt stop us from having fun! The first night we didnt get to our campsite until about 9:45 p.m. We had to unload and set everything up in the dark. It wasnt too bad though. The worst part was when I started blowing up my mattress with our air pump and it died when it was half way through! So we thought that maybe it wasnt charged all the way so we took it to the bathroom along with all 3 mattresses and tried plugging it in to blow them up. It didnt work! So we spent the first night without our mattresses and the next morning we asked Tyson and Amanda to stop and buy us a new one that uses batteries! We had only bought the other one last year nubt apparently you are supposed to charge it like every so often when it is not being used. Who thinks of charging something like that in the middle of the winter? The next day Tyson, Amanda, and Kaylee came up. That day we went down to the lake and swam for awhile. I think it was that night that we went to the fire prevention show featuring Smokey The Bear! The next day we went fishing and to the caves. We saw a huge herd of Elk on the mountain on our way back. It was awesome! On Sunday we went sight seeing and the kids were able to try some more fishing at the Red Canyon Lodge. They have a small lake there were you can rent paddle boats and canoes for the day. You could also feed the fish, which were HUGE Rainbow trouts(I think). I think next year we are planning on spending the whole day there and renting the paddle boats. The next day we went swimming again after it had finally warmed up and then headed home! It was a super fun trip but wasnt nearly long enough! We missed our Grandparents who couldnt come this year because they were going on a cruise to Alaska. We hope they get to make it next year though!

First day of school

Jayden's first day of Kindergarten. This year he is in the Autistic Kindergarten at Mt Mahogany Elementary in PG. His teacher is so cute and SUPER nice! He is loving it so far. He has homework this year, which he is absolutely NOT liking one bit! Its so easy and would only take him 10 minutes at the most if he'd just sit down and do it but by the time he gets home his meds have worn off and he can't concentrate. This year I hope that he will be able to recite his ABC's(in the correct order, he knows all the letters. We have been trying to work on learning the phone number but its not going so well. I think that he will have a great year and learn so much!

Waterfalls

This past Sunday my family talked me into going on a hike with them. They had taken Jayden the week before and he LOVED it. This kid loves to explore and be up in the mountains. He never whines and can basically run circles around everbody else. The hike was up to some waterfalls in PG. I knew it would be rough because, well....to put it simply, I am LAZY! I am overweight and out of shape! It was pretty rough on me and I had to take quite a few breaks to catch my breath and rest my legs, that kept trying to give out on me. But I made it to the waterfalls and they were beautiful!
I took this on the trail.

Getting closer......

Finally made it!!!

My toes......boy was that water cold!!!
